Throughout the year, the Theology & the Arts Committee of AST hosts a range of exhibitions and events to enhance the conversation between academic theology and the creative arts. This summer, we're hosting an exhibition of your work. This group show is an opportunity to share and celebrate the ways that people within our school community explore theology, spirituality, or simply the creative process through their own art practice.
The details:
You may submit one piece of two-dimensional artwork (painting, photography, printmaking, collage, drawing, etc.) no larger than 24"x24"
Work must be ready to hang and be clearly labeled on the back with your name, phone number, email address, the title of the work, and the medium
In the case of too many submissions, priority will be given to works by current students of AST, then current faculty/staff, then alumni, then finally, friends & associates, as space allows.
The Theology & the Arts Committee will not co-ordinate any sales of artwork. However, you are welcome to organize sales privately. The Committee will produce a pricelist including contact information of those artists interested in selling their work. The Committee takes no commission on sales.
The Theology & the Arts Committe does not insure artwork shown in the AST gallery.
If you are interested in showing your work, please RSVP artsandtheology@astheology
Work must be delivered to the AST library on June 18th between 1-430pm
Work must be picked up from the AST library on July 27th between 9am-4pm
An opening reception will be held on June 27th from 6:30-8pm. We hope as many of the artists as possible will be in attendance.
